If you’re in need of a car or transportation, Good News Garage currently serves Vermont and Massachusetts by providing these services for free! This article will go into detail about everything you need to know to apply for Good News Garage programs.
What is Good News Garage?
Good News Garage is a nonprofit car donation program that helps low-income individuals and families have access to transportation for work, childcare, and other necessities. Right now, Good News Garage currently provides services to people living in Vermont and Massachusetts. They have helped over 5,500 families.
Before giving cars away or using them to transport you somewhere, Good News Garage has qualified mechanics do a 72-point inspection of the vehicles donated to them. The donated cars are repaired and must pass state inspection before being used by you. Good News Garage makes sure that the vehicle you’ll be using is safe and reliable.
Below is a video from their YouTube channel featuring a success story and testimonial from Amanda, who was able to get a car because of Good News Garage.

Does Good News Garage help people in New Hampshire?
Unfortunately, Good News Garage’s programs in New Hampshire are currently inactive. They are waiting for the state to renew its contract for funding, which they are reliant on since they are a nonprofit organization. If the state chooses to renew its contract and continue to fund them, Good News Garage should hopefully have active services available in New Hampshire again.
