Veterans get discounts at all Arizona State Parks!
If you’ve served in the military, then you’re in for an excellent deal at Arizona state parks! Here’s the breakdown:
Active Military – This deal covers any member of the armed forces that is either an active military member, a member of the National Guard, or a member of the reserve. With this particular deal, there’s no pass required, and you’ll receive a 50 percent discount in any of Arizona’s state parks! Of course, you’ll need to show military ID at the entrance to the park that you’re visiting.
Resident Retired Military Vets – This is another 50 percent discount for retired veterans. All you have to bring is a proof of service, which can include military ID or DD214 and your Arizona license, and you’ll be eligible for the discounted rate.
Disabled Veterans – As a thank you for your service, Arizona state parks provide a 100 percent free day use pass for Arizona residents. To qualify, you’ll need to bring your Veterans Affairs proof of 100 percent service-connected disability. If you’re not an Arizona resident but are a disabled veteran, you’re eligible for a 50 percent off day use pass at Arizona state parks.
All of these discounts apply to the cardholder and up to three additional adults that accompany them.

Do you plan to frequent Arizona State Parks more than once this year? If so, you should consider the Annual State Park Day Use Pass. This pass comes in two flavors and both permit the pass holder to bring up to three additional adults in the same car:
The Standard Annual Pass – With the exception of Lake Havasu, Cattail Cove, Buckskin Mountain, Patagonia Lake, River Island, and Slide Rock (on certain days), the Standard Annual State Park Day Use Pass provides a great option for frequent Arizona park visitors. In fact, with this pass, you can really get to know the parks over the year because you won’t be limited by expense. This pass is usable on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays, and it costs $75 a year with a $7.00 handling fee.
The Premium Annual Pass – If you really would like to visit the seven state parks not included with the standard pass, then the Premium pass is a great option. This pass is usable on weekends and state holidays. It costs $200 a year plus a $7.00 handling fee.
