You can use the tool for free. For a small fee, you can also have them mail the Answer to the Court and the Plaintiff’s attorney. That’s what I’ve done in the past and it’s so much simpler than printing and delivering the copies yourself.

Depending on your case, you could qualify for representation for a variety of civil issues. Do you feel you’ve had your consumer rights violated? Consumer protection legal aid might be available. You will need to meet requirements and have a case that involves your rights as a consumer. The program might have requirements for income and residency.
Law school legal clinics could provide helpful advice.
The law school at the University of Montana provides legal clinics that law students put on. You might be able to get legal advice from these clinics. They could also have helpful resources you can use to find an attorney who can represent you for your case. You do not have to pay to attend the clinics, but you might need to preregister to ensure you have a spot at the clinic.
