If you’ve been served with a lawsuit, you can use SoloSuit to help you file your answer. This service is so easy to use! You just need the Summons and Complaint you received to help you answer questions. When you’re done, the system will generate an answer that you can send to the court.
You can use the tool for free. For a small fee, you can also have them mail the Answer to the Court and the Plaintiff’s attorney. That’s what I’ve done in the past and it’s so much simpler than printing and delivering the copies yourself.

We found RI legal services that might be able to provide you with a bar-certified attorney who can represent you. Depending on your case, you could qualify for representation for a variety of civil issues. People who have criminal cases generally do not qualify but might be able to find help from a public defender.

To qualify for help, you may need to meet certain requirements including ones for income. The self help center through the Montana court system might make it easier for you to represent yourself. At the self help center, you might be able to find forms and other documents you can use when you have to represent yourself.

Depending on your income and other criteria, you might be able to find resources to help you get attorney representation. You may need to reserve a spot at the clinic.
Do you feel you’ve had your consumer rights violated? Consumer protection legal aid might be available. You will need to meet requirements and have a case that involves your rights as a consumer. The program might have requirements for income and residency.
Law school legal clinics could provide helpful advice.
The law school at the University of Montana provides legal clinics that law students put on. You might be able to get legal advice from these clinics. They could also have helpful resources you can use to find an attorney who can represent you for your case. You do not have to pay to attend the clinics, but you might need to preregister to ensure you have a spot at the clinic.
