The Delaware Community Legal Aid Society might be able to provide Delaware legal aid if you’re low-income and you meet their other qualifications. You will need to have a case that qualifies under their guidelines. You’ll also have to make sure you meet the requirements they have for residency. Depending on the availability of lawyers, you might not be able to get help right away. The society sometimes has a waitlist.

If you’re facing a civil legal case, you might be able to get help through the Legal Services Corporation of Delaware. The Delaware Volunteer Legal Services program could provide help to people who are in need of an attorney. They work with bar-certified attorneys who volunteer their time and are able to help some people who are low-income. If you meet their requirements, you could qualify for help through legal assistance and other programs.

Legal help might be available through the Delaware court system. This help could give you the assistance you need if you’re representing yourself. If you’re unable to afford an attorney and you cannot get legal aid, your last choice might be to represent yourself. While this is not ideal, the resources from the court could help you with forms and other self-help documents.

Use bar association resources for Delaware legal aid.

The bar association has helpful resources you might be able to use. Through the bar association, you could find information on legal aid, attorneys who provide pro bono services and more. The ACLU might be able to help.

If you think you might be able to get help through the ACLU, there are different things you might be able to do. The ACLU does not usually represent people for simple civil rights cases, but they might still be able to provide some help. In addition to the information they have about your civil rights, they can show you how to protect those rights. Additionally, they might be able to provide information on legal aid resources for low-income individuals.
