Get cheap internet from Mediacom!

Got a K-12 student in your household? You may be eligible for discounted Internet service through MediaCom’s Connect2Compete Program! There’s no deposit, no installation fees, no equipment rental fees and no contracts with this program!


What does this program include? 

For $9.95 per month, you’ll receive a free Wi-Fi modem and download speeds of up to 10 Mbps. As I said before, there are NO installation fees, NO deposits, NO modem rental fees and NO contracts. However, you will have to return the modem at the end of your enrollment or you’ll have to pay for it.

Who qualifies for cheap Internet service from Mediacom?

To qualify, you must meet all of the following criteria:


  • At least one K-12 student must live in your home
  • At least one K-12 student who resides with you must qualify for free or reduced-price school lunches through the National School Lunch Program (NSLP)
  • You must not have any debt to Mediacom for previous bills or unreturned equipment. If you need to, you can pay off your debt or return your equipment before you enroll in the Connect2Compete program.
  • You must not have subscribed to Mediacom internet within the last 90 days.

What happens if my eligibility changes?

If at any point you become ineligible for this program, standard rates for internet service and equipment rental will apply.

Hey, Nashon! It appears that the City of Chicago might be able to assist you. I'm really unfamiliar with the Chicago area. If you contact your local United Way, they should be able to assist you further. They're my go-to place for information like this.
