5 Panda Express Recipes: Orange Chicken & More!

Panda Express recipes are in high demand and for a very good reason! When it comes to flavorful Chinese food, Panda Express is its own dynasty.

These recipes were given to us direct from Panda Express itself, through hidden links on their official website. I’ll show you those links below. However, it looks like Panda has purged the official recipes landing page on their website so we’ve copied the recipes here for safekeeping.

After all, it would be a disaster if these delicious Panda Express recipes disappeared from the Internet altogether!

Unfortunately, we can’t crack the secret sauce.

The only catch with these recipes is that they require you to buy the official, bottled Panda Express sauces. They won’t reveal the combinations hidden in their secret sauces. However, buying a bottle of sauce is still way cheaper than trying to feed your entire family at the Panda Express restaurant itself!

Official Panda Express Recipes: Beijing Beef

This recipe produces two servings of Panda’s delightful Beijing Beef, so be sure to multiply (or divide) the recipe depending on your needs.

You’ll need:

  • 1 pound sliced beef
  • 3/4 cup Panda Express Beijing Sauce
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

This simple recipe has just 7 steps!

First, you need to marinade the meat.

  1. Marinade the meat in 1/2 cup of the Beijing Beef sauce. Cover it and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Dice the vegetables while you wait. Panda Express recommends cutting them into 1/2 inch squares, but you can do whatever size you desire.
  3. When the meat is ready, heat one tablespoon of cooking oil in a pan or wok.
  4. Add the sliced beef and cook until it is well done.
  5. Add the bell peppers and onions into the pan.
  6. Pour the remaining sauce into the pan. Mix well and stir fry until the sauce thickens slightly.
  7. Serve with rice or noodles!

Official Panda Express Recipes: Kung Pao Chicken

This is one of a few Panda Express recipes that call for peanuts, so you may need to make modifications if you’re serving someone with allergies! This recipe produces four servings.

You will need the following ingredients:

  • 1 pound boneless chicken thigh meat
  • 8 pieces dry whole chili peppers
  • 3/4 cup diced zucchini
  • 3/4 cup Panda Express Kung Pao Sauce
  • 1/3 cup peanuts
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced green onions
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

Just like with the Beijing Beef, you’re going to need to marinade the meat in 1/2 cup of sauce for 30 minutes before you begin cooking. After the meat is marinaded, the rest of the cooking process is quick and easy!

  1. Dice chicken and vegetables into 1/2 inch squares (or whatever size you prefer).
  2. Marinade the chicken meat in 1/2 cup of sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 Tbsp cooking oil in a fry pan or wok.
  4. Stir in whole chili peppers and cook until they turn dark-colored.
  5. Add the chicken. Stir fry until the chicken is cooked through.
  6. Add the veggies.
  7. Pour the remaining sauce into the pan and mix it into the ingredients. Stir fry until sauce thickens but do not over-boil it!
  8. Mix in peanuts and immediately remove from the heat.
  9. Serve with rice or noodles.

Official Panda Express Recipes: Mandarin Chicken

This recipe almost feels like cheating because it’s so easy. Seriously. Two ingredients? It doesn’t get easier than that.

All you need to do is:

  1. Marinade one pound of boneless chicken thigh meat in 1/2 cup of Panda Express Mandarin Sauce. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  2. Grill the marinated chicken until cooked through.
  3. Cut the cooked chicken into slices.
  4. Heat 1/2 cup Panda Express Mandarin Sauce over low heat. Don’t overcook!
  5. Pour the heated sauce over the cooked chicken.
  6. Serve with rice or noodles.

Official Panda Express Recipes: Orange Chicken

This is indisputably Panda Express’ most popular recipe. Their orange chicken is always delicious and it’s definitely a family favorite of ours. I’m so glad we can make it at home.

Again, this is another simple two-ingredient recipe. You just need breaded chicken bites and Panda Express Orange Sauce to make this happen!

Here are the steps you’ll need to follow:

  1. Prepare breaded chicken bites according to package instructions.
  2. Heat 1/4 cup Panda Express Orange Sauce over low heat. It is important that you don’t overheat the sauce!
  3. Place prepared breaded chicken bites into a clean bowl and pour the hot sauce over the top.
  4. Toss to coat the chicken with the sauce.
  5. Serve over your favorite rice or noodles.

Two ingredients. Five steps. It doesn’t get any easier than that!

Official Panda Express Recipes: Sweetfire Chicken

This is my husband’s favorite Panda Express recipe. It’s spicy and sweet and so good.

In order to create Sweetfire Chicken at home, you’re going to need:

  • 1/2 pound breaded chicken bites
  • 1/2 cup diced red bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup Pineapple chunks
  • 1/4 cup Panda Express Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

Panda Express recommends using canned pineapple chunks with natural juice for the best results.

Are you ready for this? Here are the instructions:

  1. Cook the breaded chicken bites according to package directions.
  2. Heat 1 Tbsp of cooking oil in a fry pan or wok.
  3. Combine the bell peppers, onions, and drained pineapple chunks into the pan.
  4. Pour the Sweet Chili sauce into the pan and mix well. Do not let the sauce boil! Remove it from heat.
  5. Pour the heated sauce mixture over the chicken bites. Toss to coat.
  6. Serve over rice or noodles!
